How to calculate distribution amounts in the Australian version
You can reallocate the amount on one general ledger account to other general ledger accounts so that the balances of your accounts remain proportionate to one another.
On a recurring journal line that uses the B Balance or RB Reversing Balance recurring method, choose the Allocations action, and then enter a percentage in the Allocation % field for each account to divide the amount among. The amount is distributed according to the percentages that you enter; it isn't calculated automatically from account balances or net changes.
To automate the distribution instead, set up an allocation account with a fixed or variable allocation method. For more information, see Allocate revenue and costs to multiple general ledger accounts.
